Ok so this weekend we learned that a young life was taken to soon. She worked in Silverton Hospital at the birthing center and touched many lives here in Silverton. She was in a terrible car accident on Silverton Road and 81st which is a bad intersection. there are no curves there or anything, but people don't realize how fast people are going down that road until, unfortunately it's too late. This was a 3 car crash and one of the cars was a family that my youngest brother played baseball with. it's tragic to see him figure it out and be in complete shock of what happened. don't get me wrong, we're devastated that the young woman died too. that's probably the worst. my mom knew her because she worked at the hospital with her. the other car that started all this was a 17 year old driver and I can't even begin to imagine the shock and terror he and his family are going through right now. I'm just asking everyone out in blog land to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray for everyone involved and their families.
it's always terrible and heartbreaking when something like this happens, but especially in a small town like silverton. everyone literally knows everyone else and has some sort of special connection with another whether it's direct or indirect. I have experienced this on more than one occasion. it doesn't necessarily have to be through death.
Tell everyone you know how you feel and be nice to people. you never know what they are going through and you never know what's going to happen tomorrow, a year, a month or even in 10 minutes.
much love
